Keeping Humanity Alive: IRCS Noklak celebrates World Red Cross Day with Adora Children Home

Noklak: Life Member Sulim encourages all not to get weary of doing good things

Indian Red Cross Society, Noklak District Branch observed International Red Cross Day at Adora Children Home, Noklak Town on Wednesday under the theme “Keeping Humanity Alive”.

Sulim, Life Members of the Red Cross Society, said in his address that the purpose of the Red Cross Society is to inspire, encourage, to minimise human suffering and to initiate humanitarian activities. Stating that humanity is love, affection and compassion, Sulim added that it is a sacrificial work and lending helping hand without expecting anything in return.  He encouraged the gathering not to be weary of doing good things.

Kongniu, in-charge of Adora Children Home, expressed her appreciation to the Red Cross Society, Noklak Unit for extending hope to the hopeless. She said that the mission is “Reaching to the unreached”. She also urged the society to continue the mission to uplift humanity. Further, Kongniu thanked the Red Cross Society for choosing Adora Children Home for celebrating the occasion.

During the event, the Noklak District Branch Red Cross Society distributed blankets, hygiene kits and rice bag to Adora Children Home.

The team also shared the activities taken up in the past years such as distributing relief in times of calamities in various villages and even beyond the border. The team also highlighted the urgent need for an ambulance in the region especially during emergencies.
