Minister of Power and Parliamentary Affairs, K.G. Kenye and Advisor for CAWD and Taxes, Kudecho Khamo, have expressed sadness over the demise of Rev. Khrutsoyi Luruo, former State Chaplain on 24th January 2025 and offered their condolences to the bereaved family.
In a condolence message, Kenye stated, “On his demise, we have lost a faithful servant of God who has dedicated most of his lifetime serving our society and the ministry of God.” He said that Lt. Rev. Luruo’s unwavering faith manifested throughout his lifetime through his selfless service rendered towards the ministry of God and added that he leaves behind a rich legacy which will continue to guide and inspire the future generation. His demise is a huge loss to the Chakhesang Community in particular and the Naga society in general, Kenye added.
Kudecho Khamo mentioned that Lt. Rev. Luruo was a faithful servant of God, an Educationist who served as the Executive Secretary CBCC, Education Secretary NBCC, State Chaplain Nagaland Legislative Assembly and Advisor to the Chakhesang Baptist Church Minister’s Hill Kohima (CBCMHK) till date.
Khamo described the late reverend as a man of high integrity whose unshakeable faith was rooted deeply in the word of God and who selflessly dedicated his life in serving God and humanity. His charismatic leadership and farsighted vision with wisdom inspires and shapes many lives, he added. Khamo also stated, “In the midst of lost and grieve, we are overwhelmingly grateful to our God Almighty for the gift of his life and joyfully celebrates his ministries and contributions in the field of education, Churches and Society.”
Further, Advisor Khamo stated that the demise of Lt. Rev. Luruo is a great loss to the whole Naga society, however, his legacy and good works would continue to inspire and motivate all.
