Kohima DC urges electorates of district to exercise voting rights, to uphold democratic fabric of India

Kohima: Eligible voters reminded to bring along necessary documents for proof of identity on polling day

Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer Kohima, Kumar Ramnikant IAS has issued a fervent appeal to all citizens within the Kohima district, urging their active involvement in the upcoming 18th Lok Sabha Elections. The polling will be conducted from 7:00 am till 4:00 am on 19 April 2024 (Friday).

With the aim of facilitating a seamless electoral process, DC Kohima encouraged voters to familiarize themselves with the electoral roll and locate their respective polling stations. Detailed information can be accessed through the official website https://ceo.nagaland.gov.in/home or by downloading the Voter’s Helpline app from the Google Play Store.

In line with electoral guidelines, eligible voters have been reminded to bring along the necessary documents for proof of identity on the polling day.

Recognizing the significance of elections in upholding the democratic fabric of India, DC Kohima stressed the collective responsibility of all citizens to actively participate in the electoral process.

In his appeal, DC encouraged all eligible voters to exercise their franchise freely, fairly, and fearlessly, without succumbing to apathy or indifference. He assured the citizens of Kohima that adequate measures have been implemented to ensure a smooth, secure, and transparent electoral process.
