The Khiamniungan Students’ Union Tuensang (KSUT) organised its first inaugural freshers meet cum literary competition on Saturday evening under the theme “For a vibrant future” at the auditorium of the Government Higher Secondary School Tuensang
K.Okie Khiamniungan, President Football Association Noklak District graced the occasion as the special guest where he encouraged and inspired the students about choosing sports as their career and delved on the alarming use of drugs. He urged the students not to be victims of substance abuse and to maintain good health.
Meanwhile, the KSUT Advisor, spoke about the significance and the importance of one’s own mother tongue. He stated that the event aimed to welcome freshers, foster a sense of community and showcase literary talents.

The literary competition comprised of events including essay writing, art and painting competition where students from various departments participated enthusiastically to display their skills
The program was followed by special performances, entertainment and cultural activities. Sangtsoi. P was crowned as Mr. Rampwalk and Mr.KSUT 2024 while Longkoi. Y was crowned Miss Confident, Miss Rampwalk and Miss KSUT 2024.
Liang S.K Khiamniungan bagged the title of Mr Photogenic, Mr. Confident and Mr. Perfect and Phaoniu K Khiamniungan bagged the title Miss Photogenic and Miss Perfect
The winners of each event were awarded prizes and certificates of appreciation. The event concluded with a vote of thanks from the Education Secretary KSUT who expressed gratitude to the organizers, judges and participants.
