Legal awareness talk held at P. Khel Night school, Kohima village

A legal awareness talk on the fundamental principles of law focusing on key issues pertaining to children was held today at P.Khel Night School, Kohima Village.

Advocate, N. Marlyn Rutsa was the keynote speaker for the talk. Addressing the students, Rutsa stated that legal education is a golden coin which brings not only immensity in knowledge but also superlative rights in society. “Ignorance of fact is excused but ignorance of law is no excuse,” maintained Rutsa.

Topics ranging from basic legal rights to contemporary issues pertinent to the youth were highlighted during the talk.

Students were also enlightened about their rights in various spheres, including education, employment, and personal freedoms. Rutsa further shed light on the significance of legal literacy in fostering a responsible citizen.
