‘Let’s Pedal,’ an organization dedicated to the social security and welfare of journalists, announced its upcoming Bicycle Rally from Numaligarh to Kohima. The event is scheduled to commence on December  8, 2024, and aims to raise awareness about the crucial issue of journalists’ social security while addressing the pervasive problem of ‘climate silence.’

The rally reached Kohima and all the four members of the rally is staying in Hornbill Festival.

Since its inception in 2019, ‘Let’s Pedal’ has been at the forefront of combining advocacy with cycling to bring attention to important social causes.

Previous Rides by Let’s Pedal

1. Guwahati to Biswanath Chariali (267.4 km) in 2019
2. Biswanath Chariali to Sadiya via Bogibil Bridge and Sadiya to Biswanath Chariali via Koliyabhomora Bridge covering Golaghat district (approximately 1000 km) in 2020
3. Biswanath Chariali to Majuli via Bihpuriya and Majuli to Biswanath Chariali via Koliyabhomora Bridge (450 km) in 2021

In addition to these major rides, Let’s Pedal has also organized various local rides, including World Bicycle Day celebrations across multiple districts in Assam.
