In a remarkable display of unity, sacrifice, and community spirit, volunteers from Chessore came together to repair the monsoon-damaged Hukir–Chessore Road and support the timely completion of the Lighthouse NECTAR Project in Chessore Town on July 28. The joint initiative was carried out by Chessore Town Baptist Church, Chessore Town Public Forum, and contractors from Lighthouse NECTAR. Volunteers and workers assembled early in the morning to clear debris, level damaged sections, improve drainage, and carry out temporary patching work along the most affected stretches of the Hukir–Chessore Road.

Lighthouse NECTAR contractors generously provided the necessary financial support, technical guidance, tools, and materials required for the repair work. Meanwhile, all labour was contributed voluntarily by members of the Church and the Public Forum, demonstrating a strong sense of responsibility and dedication toward the welfare of the community.

To support the volunteers throughout the day, Chessore Town Baptist Church sponsored and provided food for all those participating in the work, ensuring that every worker was cared for while serving the community. This collaborative effort reflects the enduring spirit of unity and shared commitment among the people of Chessore. The willingness of volunteers to work selflessly for the common good is a testimony that true development is achieved when communities stand together with one heart and one purpose.

The organisers expressed  gratitude to Lighthouse NECTAR, volunteers, community leaders, Church members, and workers who contributed their time, resources, and effort to this noble cause.

The volunteers Lighthouse NECTAR also took initiative for repairing roads from high school to Town junction.
