Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) from Nagaland, S Supongmeren Jamir, has written to the Union Minister of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh, requesting for the upgradation of the College of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry, Jalukie, Nagaland.

In his letter, Jamir expressed gratitude for the establishment of the College in Nagaland which he said is “doing excellent and has passed out 3 batches with 75 students from all over the North Eastern States except Assam.”

Therefore, the MP appealed for the introduction of postgraduation and Phd. Degree, and also to provide:

1) Laboratory facilities for students for higher studies

2) Faculty Members from various discipline for research and

Teaching and supporting staff.

3) Infrastructure facilities for various discipline
