Lok Sabha MP S Supongmeren Jamir, PCC President has condoled the demise of former Minister MC Konyak on June 16. Expressing shock and grief on the demise of his former colleague MC Konyak, Jamir said, “His passing will be an irreparable loss not just to his family and loved ones, but to the entire Eastern Naga Community and the People of Nagaland in general. I extend my deepest condolences to the bereaved family with prayers for eternal rest of the departed soul,” stated Jamir.

Deputy Chief Minister T. R Zeliang has also expressed grief and extended condolences to the wife of the late M.C. Konyak.

“M.C.Konyak was my former colleague and during several years of our association as friend, we shared good rapport and work together for the common interest of the people of Nagaland. I knew him to be sincere, humble, compassionate and hardworking person. For me, it is indeed, very difficult to accept that he passed away so soon. In his demise, we have lost a good steward and a fatherly figure and the loss he left will be difficult to fill,” shared Zeliang.

He further extended his heartfelt condolences during the heart breaking times and wished for solace and prayers to the grieving family.
