A Medical Camp for Shingnyu village, Mon district, was organised today by Shamatore Battalion Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North)/HQ 7 Sector AR.
The camp aimed at providing free check-ups, ENT, preliminary diagnosis and regular check-ups for aliments like common cold, cough, lower backache, skin conditions and others.
The Chief Medical Officer of Assam Rifles Shamator along with a team from Company Operating Base DAN (ITC Dan) conducted the camp.
About 115 patients of all ages were treated and some with serious aliments were advised to go to Noklak for further diagnosis. In addition, free medicines along with necessary medical aid were provided to the needy.

It has been reported that this was the first time for a medical camp to be organised in the area.
The initiative and kind gesture of the Assam Rifles were highly appreciated by the proprietors who expressed their heartfelt gratitude and thankfulness to the Assam Rifles Battalion.
