Meet on Dharti Aaba Abhiyan held at Niuland

In pursuance to the Government of India, Ministry of Tribal Affairs on Dharti Aaba Abhiyan campaign that aims to improve the lives of tribal communities by addressing critical gaps in social infrastructure, health, education and livelihood. And in this regard the Deputy Commissioner, Niuland, Sara S Jamir convened a meeting with various Department officers on June 9 at DC’s Office Niuland.

The main objective of the campaign is to create awareness to the people about the government schemes and programs while ensuring access to their entitlement benefits such as Aadhaar cards, ration Cards, Ayushman Bharat cards and various other welfare schemes.

The campaign will also include awareness and empowerment, holistic development, community participation, village level camps and convergence of departments.

Vitoka Yepthomi EAC (Sadar) has been tasked to oversee the campaign program in the district.
