Members of Lions Club of Kohima visits Eden Garden Children’s home

Kohima: President, Lion Oken Jeet Sandham narrated the brief history of the Lions movement in the world and its charitable and humanitarian services in the world.

Members of the Lions Club of Kohima led by its president, Lion Oken Jeet Sandham visited children of the Eden Garden Children Home, Khuzama on 15th August 2022. The visitation was as part of the 75th Anniversary of the Indian Independence Day Celebration.

Having fellowship with the children, Lion Oken Jeet Sandham narrated the brief history of the Lions movement in the world and its charitable and humanitarian services in the world. He also told the children how the Lions Club of Kohima visits institutions in and around Kohima on the occasions of the Republic Day and Independence Day celebrations.

Fr. Rajesh who is Director of the Eden Garden Children Home, Khuzama expressed appreciation to the members of the Lions Club of Kohima for visiting the Home with kitchen provisions and sweets. He hoped for more such visits by the Lions in the future. Members of the Lions Club of Kohima also had fellowship with the children. There are 245 children, boys, and girls, in the Home which was established in 1979.

The Club Members gave out kitchen provisions for the children and sweets.
