The Superintendent of Police, Mokokchung has on Saturday issued new traffic regulations to be followed during the Night Carnival which is to be held from 18th to 23th December 2023 at Mokokchung Town (Main Town Square to Rotary Point).

The following Traffic Regulation is hereby made with effect from 18/12/2023 to 23/12/2023 from 05:30 PM to 09:30 PM, the SP stated.

1. No Entry Point: No vehicles will be allowed to Entry from Zebra crossing adjoining Ao Church till Rotary House. However, Ambulance, Fire Tender on emergency are exempted in this regulation.
2. All vehicles proceeding toward Local Ground via Main Police Point from A.M. Road will be diverted from Main Police Point towards Civil Hospital road/via D.C. Hill and Yongpang market.

Further, the SP also informed that during the mentioned period, vehicles coming from Sewak Gate area and proceeding towards A.M. Road have the option to take the route via Civil Hospital road up till Main Police Point. Vehicles from Yimyu area towards A.M. Road may take the route via Sewak Gate from I.O.C, and proceed towards Civil Hospital road/Yongpang market and Main Police Point X, the advisory said.

The Mokokchung Night Carnival is being organized by the Adventure and Motorsports Association Mokokchung (AMAM).
