Noklak became the fourth district to officially launch the Micro, Small & Medium Enterprise (MSME) Promotion Council of India(PCI) on March 21 at Noklak, office complex, Danlepdong ward-6. The launching program was held to promote entrepreneurship, financial literacy and self reliance for business people and artisans in the district.
Chairman MSME PCI, Nagaland, Lanuakhum in his speech noted, ‘ MSME is the backbone of the economy,’ hoping for major shift of local entrepreneurship in the district. He informed that MSME PCI has partnered with SBI which can enable the beneficiaries for more accessibility. He emphasized that MSME is for the people and urged the village and ward Councils to come forward for cooperation. Furthermore, he called for Noklak join the MSME family emphasizing hope for better progress and development. Earlier, he inaugurated the office of MSME PCI.
Functional Manager, Sub District Industries Centre, Noklak, Kikhumthong, expressed his optimism towards the launching of the office expressing hope that MSME PCI will benefit the upcoming entrepreneurs and artisans and to lower unemployment rate in the district. He informed the entrepreneurs to register in the enterprise unit to register till March 31. Kikumthong also announced that Choklangan village is proposed to be the craft village for Nagaland.

Asst. Manager. SBI Noklak, Meiluihing BK stated that the launching is a testament of their sheer commitment towards the promotion of MSME in the state. He urged the citizens of Noklak to utilize the opportunity provided by the Department. He assured that SBI Noklak is always open to any kind of assistance.
Meanwhile, EAC, Noklak Hq, Menlom Phom pointed out Noklak’s specific skill in handloom & handicraft and agri sector and its potential to reach international level. He stressed on taking up right entrepreneurship and utilising the scheme in the right. He stated that the sector is a very vital sector entrepreneurs business locality.
Earlier, the programe was chaired by Sangtso T, Vice Chairman MSME PCI, Noklak, invocation was pronounced by Samuel, Finance & Property Secretary of KBCA, and the welcome address delivered was by P.Hatho Chairman of MSME PCI, Noklak. Shiulimkiu, Vice Chairman of MSME PCI, Noklak, expressed gratitude through the vote of thanks. The program concluded with a benediction by Luzo, Youth Pastor of Noklak Town Baptist Church (NTBC).
