Music video of Moko Koza’s ‘Boy from the Hills’ hails resilience of Naga elders

Kohima: Abu Metha praises video quality and storytelling, calls the makers ‘ambassadors of Nagaland and Naga people”

The official music video of Moko Koza’s “Boy from the Hills” premiered on Monday following an exclusive screening for family, friends, dignitaries and supporters at the Regional Centre for Excellence in Music & Performing Arts (RCEMPA), Jotsoma, Kohima.

Infinity Inc, the music label that manages the artist, stated in a press release that “Boy from the Hills” is a heartfelt narrative that explores the impact of the World War II in Nagaland and the unwavering determination of the Naga community in safeguarding their cultural heritage. With its compelling storytelling and captivating visuals, the music video serves as a heartfelt homage to the resilience of Nagaland’s elders during a crucial historical era, it added.

The music video was directed by Asalie Peseyie, filmed by San Production, shot by Sanen Kichu and produced by Rylo and Ina.

Special guest for the premiere, Abu Metha, Adviser to the Chief Minister and Chairman of IDAN, expressed his admiration for Moko Koza’s music and his dedication to his career.

He also appreciated Infinity Inc for their consistent dedication to fostering local talent within the Nagaland music industry. Metha commended the entire team behind the video, acknowledging them as outstanding ambassadors of Nagaland and the Naga people.

Metha later shared his impression on the music video on X where he said, “A fantastic video that is not only a great song but a wonderful story telling production.”

Other speakers at the event included Theja Meru, Chairman of TaFMA, Asalie Peseyie, CEO Infinity Inc., and the artist Moo Koza who expressed his deep gratitude for the overwhelming support. Hovithal Sothu, Project Director TaFMA, Medovilie Ladu, Joint Director Agriculture Department were also present during the occasion.
