Wrestlers from the Nagaland Wrestling Association (NWA) arrived home after winning one silver and five bronze medals for team India at the Asian Belt Wrestling Alysh Championship 2025 held in New Delhi from May 21-26.
An update from NWA media cell informed that team India clinched a total of two silver and seven bronze medals at the tournament out of which NWA wrestlers won six for India which is a first in the international championship.

The NWA team including 15 athletes, one United World Wrestling (UWW) nominated referee, one fresh observation referee and seven officials were part of team India in the week long championship.
The NWA extended its gratitude to the state government for financial and logistics support, the directorate of Youth Resources and Sports (YRS) for financial assistance, Chief Conservator of Forest Durg Circle Dr. Keneilhoutuolie Miachieo for hosting dinner for the NWA team. The association also conveyed its appreciation to all the wrestling lovers for their support in different forms, particularly in prayer and moral support for the team.
