Following an emergency meeting and press conference, the various Naga youth organisations of Chümoukedima and Dimapur have condemned the extortion demand on Naga innovator and social entreprenuer Aolemba Longkumer.
“He has not only won several accolades both in the State and National level but also has been a pioneer in exporting Naga handicraft. We collectively demand that the NSCN (Khango) should immediate hand over the two transgressors to the appropriate authority at the earliest, through the intervention of the Chairman of the Ceasefire Monitoring Group (CFMG) and also the Ceasefire Supervisory Board (CFSB),” stated a press release issued by the organisations.
It also drew attention to the irony of the Naga Political Group (NPG) whose motto is based on “Nagaland for Christ”, yet engaged in diabolical tactic by forcefully trying to extort a huge amount of fifty lakhs under false allegations, especially during the festive season.

“For too long Nagas has been suffering under the bondage of excessive extortion by multiple NPGs. The future of the Naga youths cannot be marred and doomed due to the self interest of few selfish individuals and groups and we will no longer be mute spectators. The simmering anger of the united Naga youths especially of the erstwhile undivided Dimapur will now be expressed through democratic means in protecting our citizens rights at any cost at the appropriate time,” stated the organisations.
