Athletes from the Nagaland Strongman and Fitness Association (NSFA) delivered commendable performances at the 6th World Nomad Games 2026 held in Kyrgyzstan, securing notable rankings for India in the Mas Wrestling discipline.
The four-member Indian contingent from Nagaland was led by NSFA Publicity Secretary Vizovolie Rame as team manager. Competing internationally for the first time after the association received affiliation from the India Mas Wrestling Federation, the Nagaland athletes put up a strong showing against competitors from different countries.

The individual results were:
Vekhonielu Curha – Mas Wrestling Women’s 55 kg: 6th rank
Kekhriesetuo Mechulho – Mas Wrestling Men’s 90 kg: 11th rank
Rukukhoto Khesoh – Mas Wrestling Men’s 90+ kg: 17th rank
The NSFA said the performances were a significant achievement for the athletes and a proud moment for Nagaland and India, particularly as it marked their first representation at the international level following the association’s affiliation with the national federation.
The Association expressed its sincere gratitude to Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio for sponsoring the team and supporting its participation in the international event.
It also conveyed appreciation to the India Mas Wrestling Federation, Department of Youth Resources and Sports, Government of Nagaland, and all well-wishers for their support and encouragement.
