Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio affirmed that the state government aims to take Nagaland towards “A State of Excellence,” and that the citizens must strive to excel in their chosen fields and careers and in doing so, push “Brand Nagaland” and popularise “Naga soft power.”

“We have clearly spelled out our roadmap for Nagaland in our vision documents and the people of Nagaland have reposed their faith in our vision through the electoral mandate,” added the Chief Minister.

The CM was giving his budget speech for the year 2023-2024 during the ongoing first session of the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA).

With the promise of “Change is coming” during the 2018 state general elections, Rio claimed that Nagaland has witnessed positive changes in the past five years in multiple sectors.

Admitting, that much remains to be done, he exuded confidence that the state is on the “right track” to achieving a progressive Nagaland.

Emphasising the importance of youths, Rio asserted that excellence begins with strong foundations of capacity and calibre.
