Nagaland Government earnestly taking up Kezoltsa dispute with Government of Manipur: Y. Patton

Deputy Chief Minister Y. Patton has stated in a press release that the Government of Nagaland is earnestly taking up issue of Kezoltsa dispute with its counterpart in Manipur, and further ‘making efforts for getting official confirmation of the withdrawal of the Manipur security forces from the disputed areas’.

Patton acknowledged that the recent positive developments relating to the dispute at Kezoltsa Forest Area on account of the Government of Manipur rescinding the Prohibitory Order under Cr PC 144, and withdrawing the Manipur police personnel from the disputed site with the concerted efforts of the Civil Society Organisations as per the spot visit report of TPO on March 16.

“All parties and stakeholders concerned are now further impressed upon to maintain status quo and to refrain from carrying out any activity that may be inimical towards creating a conducive environment which is vital to facilitate in bringing about an amicable resolution of the long pending issue through customary and traditional approach,” appealed Patton.
