Nagaland Police declares seizures since enforcement of Model Code of Conduct

Nagaland Police has on Friday declared the seizures made in the State since the Model Code of Conduct came into effect on 16th March 2024 when the dates of the General Elections to the 18th Lok Sabha was announced.

Releasing its fortnightly report (16th March to 31st March 2024), Nagaland Police stated that operations are being conducted in all the districts of Nagaland to combat the menace of widespread availability and usage of synthetic drugs and psychotropic substances and IMFL (Indian Made Foreign Liquor). It informed that intensive checking of vehicles (MVCP), raids and checking of hotels, restaurants, etc., continue to be carried out to control such illegal activities.

The details of the seizures provided by Nagaland Police:

Nagaland Police has further encouraged the general public to come forward with information of sale/distribution of any form of Narcotics/Drugs/IMFL etc., to the nearest Police Station or Narcotic Police Station or on ‘Call Your Cop’ mobile App or the Madeinagaland platform. The identity of the informant shall be kept confidential, it added.
