Nagaland Police’s Unit Commanders, Senior Police Officers hold first physical meeting after GE 2024

Kohima: Officers discuss ways to improve coordination among Units, streamline processes, and leverage available resources more efficiently

The first physical meeting of Nagaland Police’s Unit Commanders and Senior Police Officers after the conduct of the General Election to the 18th Lok Sabha was held at Police Headquarter in Kohima on 24th April 2024.

A press release from Nagaland Police informed that the meeting was attended by Director General of Police Rupin Sharma, IPS who during his address congratulated all officers for the “peaceful, free and fair” conduct of the election in the State. Sharma is also said to have underscored the need of collective responsibility in successfully handling any assigned task.

During the meeting, extensive discussions were held on administrative matters and on measures to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness of the Nagaland Police by emphasizing on target-oriented approach particularly in the War against Drugs.

All Unit Commanders, and Senior Police officers actively deliberated on various issues pertaining to the Department and discussed the way forward to improve coordination among Units, streamline processes, and leverage available resources more efficiently to effectively execute its primary mandate of crime prevention, detection, investigation, maintenance of public peace and internal security in the State, the press release stated.
