The Nagaland Ranji team departed for Delhi on Tuesday to participate in two multi-day practice matches as part of its preparations for the upcoming Ranji Trophy 2026–27 season.

The practice matches in Delhi are aimed at providing the team with valuable match exposure and helping the players fine-tune their preparations ahead of the domestic season.

Following the practice matches, the team will travel to Ahmedabad for its opening Ranji Trophy fixture against Arunachal Pradesh, scheduled from October 11 to 14, 2026.

The squad for Nagaland’s first two matches comprises Hokaito Zhimomi (captain), Jonathan Rongsen (vice-captain), Sedezhalie Rupreo, Imliwati Lemtur, Hem Bahadur Chetri, Joshua Ben Ozukum, Chetan Bisht (guest player), Anil Gupta, Yugandhar Singh, Neizekho Rupreo, Odilemba Kichu, Nagaho Chishi, Hopongkyu Sangtam, Saurav Kumar, Vino G. Zhimomi and Aloto Sumi.

The support staff includes Debasis Mohanty as head coach, Nehal Ahmad as team manager, Arzoo Raj as fielding coach, Swadesh Nagre as strength and conditioning coach, Mowalong Kichu as physiotherapist, Anenti Tep as assistant physiotherapist and Anirban Roy as masseur.

The Nagaland Cricket Association wished the players and support staff the best for the practice matches and the Ranji Trophy 2026–27 season.
