The Nagaland Science Mission (NSM), under the Department of Science & Technology, Government of Nagaland, on June 25, has issued a call for Research and Development (R&D) proposals under a special multi-disciplinary initiative aimed at addressing location-specific problems in the state.
The call invites proposals across various fields of Science and Technology with a focus on developing solutions and products through S&T applications relevant to Nagaland.
Indigenous Naga scientists, technologists, engineers, and researchers working in academic institutions, registered societies, R&D institutions, or universities with adequate in-house infrastructure are eligible to apply.

According to the notification, the grant will be restricted to laboratory consumables and minor scientific equipment, with project duration capped at two years. A Technical Expert Committee will evaluate the proposals and select the best ones for financial support based strictly on the technical merit of the Detailed Project Report (DPR), and the Committee’s decision will be final and binding.
