Nagaland registered a crucial 4-wicket victory over Manipur in a low-scoring encounter in the NECDC U23 Women’s Interstate Tournament 2026, played at Sikkim Cricket Ground, Rangpo, finishing as Group A table toppers and securing their place in the semi-finals.
After being put in to bat, Manipur struggled to build momentum and were bowled out for just
37 runs in 16.3 overs.
Niruka Laishram (6 off 10) and Lourembam Prena (6 off 14) were the joint top scorers in a challenging outing for the batting lineup.
Nagaland’s bowlers dominated throughout, with Roma Subha delivering a standout spell of 3/5 in 2.3 overs, dismantling the opposition and applying constant pressure.
Chasing a modest target of 38, Nagaland faced some resistance but successfully reached 38/6 in 11.2 overs. Bipila held her nerve with an unbeaten 12 off 12 balls, guiding Nagaland over the line in a tense finish.
For Manipur, Thoudam Mangalsana (4/14 in 4 overs) impressed with the ball, picking up crucial wickets and making the chase competitive.
