Sharing the secret behind 97%, Awang said, “A maximum of 11 hours a day and minimum of 8 hours a day”.
Attributing his success to God, his parents and teachers, Awang said, “whatever I have achieved right now is all because of His grace and the unflinching support and sacrifices of my parents and teachers.”
Further, speaking about his future plans, Awang said that he really wishes to get through Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). He is also currently preparing for his JEE advance and hoped to clear it.
Encouraging the students who couldn’t get through the exam he said, “don’t take the failure as a flaw but take it as an opportunity to learn from it because only through mistakes we can learn more.” He also encouraged the achievers to “keep working hard and shine brighter bringing glory to God.”

Moanola Longchar – Rank 1, HSSLC (Arts Stream)
Arts topper Moanola Longchar from Town Higher Secondary School, Mokokchung topped the Arts stream with 97.20%.
Sharing about the exam preparations Longchar said, she did not stress herself with preparations during the actual course but started her preparations by putting a lot of efforts when the school was conducting model examination in the month of January, “I would study right after coming from school taking like an hour to read and start studying till midnight and sometimes past midnight but then during the actual course I try not to stress myself out too much” and added that she always make sure to take mini breaks on days when she sits to study for the entire day.
“During the boards exam, it was mostly revision,” said Longchar.
Sharing about her future plans she said that she is planning to pursue Bachelor of Arts from St. Joseph University, Dimapur and further plans to study Theology in the future.
Longchar’s advice for the juniors is to put God first in everything and go forward in one’s own pace. “Everyone has their own clock, what might work for you might not work for others so make sure that you are always going on your own pace instead of going towards what everybody is doing and lastly I would say that discipline wins over motivation. You might not always be motivated to study but if you are disciplined, it will get you to place where motivation will not.”
