The Nagaland Cricket Association today convened its 1st Apex Council Meeting, cum Formal Handing & Taking Over Ceremony of the newly elected Apex Council for the tenure 2026–2029, at the Conference Room of the Nagaland Cricket Association.
The newly elected Apex Council comprises of Watinuksung Jamir as honorary President; Khamongo Humtsoe –Vice President; Menguvilie Sakhrie – honorary Secretary; Nikika G Zhimomi –Joint Secretary; Ketholelie Sogotsu – honorary Treasurer; and Vezokho Chotso – Apex Council Member
The meeting marked the official commencement of the new Apex Council’s tenure, during which the outgoing office-bearers formally handed over the responsibilities of the Association to the newly elected members. The transition reflects the Association’s commitment to good governance, continuity and the sustained development of cricket in Nagaland.
Following the meeting, the outgoing and incoming Apex Council members paid a courtesy call on the Chief Minister of Nagaland and Chief Patron of the Nagaland Cricket Association, Neiphiu Rio and Patrons of the Nagaland Cricket Association, Abu Metha and KT Sukhalu, and conveyed their sincere appreciation for their continued guidance, encouragement, and unwavering support towards the promotion and development of cricket in the State.

The NCA also expressed gratitude to the Board of Control for Cricket in India for its unwavering support under the dynamic leadership of Devajit Saikia, Honorary Secretary.
The newly elected Apex Council also paid a courtesy visit to Sebastian Zumvü, Chairman of the Sovima Village Council, to express their gratitude for the village’s longstanding cooperation and support extended to the Nagaland Cricket Association and its activities.
The NCA expressed gratitude to the outgoing Apex Council for its dedicated service and valuable contributions during its tenure. The Association expressed confidence that the newly elected Apex Council would continue to build upon this foundation and work collectively towards strengthening cricket administration, nurturing talent, and advancing the growth and development of cricket across Nagaland.
