A new online grocery app, “Aonsotsu,” was officially launched today at an event held at Urban Hub Cafe, Mokokchung. The launch was graced by the Chairman of Mokokchung Municipal Council, Imkongchuba Pongen, who attended as the special guest. In his address, Pongen praised the app for its convenience and alignment with digital trends, assuring the municipal council’s support for this new initiative.

Founded by 32-year-old entrepreneur Tsuwasanen, Aonsotsu aims to simplify shopping, especially for individuals who may find it challenging to visit local markets, such as those who are sick, pregnant, or have busy schedules. The app currently offers over 50 food items and essential commodities, with plans to expand its product range and extend its service area in the near future. While Aonsotsu is currently operational only in Mokokchung, it hopes to expand to other districts, including Dimapur and Kohima.

Aonsotsu’s primary focus is on customer convenience, promising fast, one-day delivery within its service area. The app also plans to introduce organic vegetables weekly to meet the growing demand for healthy produce. Tsuwasanen further expressed his intention to create employment opportunities and invited home-based entrepreneurs and bakers to collaborate with the platform.

The app is now available for download on the Play Store and can also be accessed through its official website, Aonsotsu.com.
