The National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) Kohima, organized Technovate 3.0 – Think, Visualize, Realize in collaboration with the Ministry of Information Technology, Government of India, at the NIELIT Kohima campus auditorium on Saturday.
According to DIPR, during the event, Dr M.M. Tripathi, Director General, NIELIT, commending the Industries and Commerce Department for being appointed the State Nodal Department for “Startups”. In his virtual address, Dr Tripathi also expressed hope that this appointment would create a conducive environment for startups to thrive.
He stressed that Nagaland’s startup policy should aim to establish the state as a model leader in the region by fostering a culture of entrepreneurship, nurturing creative and innovative youth, enabling successful startups, and contributing to the growth of a healthy and sustainable state.
Lanuwabang, Director of NIELIT Kohima, welcomed all the young entrepreneurs and officials from various North-East NIELT institutions and other departments. He emphasized that Techonovate 3.0 aims to encourage active participation and commitment among startup enthusiasts. The event will explore innovative ideas that can shape the state and country’s economy.
Anubhav Tiwari, Chief Evangelist of Queenbook & Reclaim, spoke on the topic of “Revolutionizing the Startup Ecosystem.” The Nagaland Industry and Commerce Department presented a PowerPoint presentation on empowering innovators on their startup journey in Nagaland.
In a brief speech, Abhishek Mishra, Additional Director of STIP Nagaland, stated that the government is actively working to create an enabling environment for startups’ growth by facilitating knowledge exchange, capacity building, new innovative ideas, policy intervention, and access to funding. He mentioned that the government is exploring the most suitable initiatives for young startups in Nagaland and will take the findings to a meaningful conclusion.
