The Speaker of Nagaland Legislative Assembly has accepted the resignation tendered by Imkong L Imchen, from the Membership of the Thirteenth Nagaland Assembly with effect from the forenoon of 20 January 2023.

According to a DIPR report, this was notified by the Nagaland Legislative Assembly under Article 190 clause 3(b) of the Indian constitution read with rule 180 Clause (1) (2) of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Nagaland Legislative Assembly.

Consequent to his resignation, the Speaker of Nagaland Legislative Assembly has declared the seat mentioned against his name ie 28-Koridang A/C as vacant, the report further stated.
