The Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) has appealed to its members, supporters and well wishers to donate to the party’s crowdfunding campaign “Donate for Desh” that “aims to bring back individual donors to the centre stage of electoral resource mobilisation in an era dominated by PM Modi’s opaque and oligarchic electoral bonds.”

The Communications Department of NPCC informed that the campaign was launched on 18th December 2023 by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge to commemorate the 138th Foundation Day of the party which falls on 28th December. The Donate for Desh campaign was inspired by Mahatma Gandhi’s historic ” Tilak Swaraj Fund” in 1920-21 that aimed at empowering the party in creating an India rich in equal resource distribution and opportunities, it stated.

NPCC said that the party will be initiating ground campaigns, including and not limited to door-to-door visits by volunteers till its culmination on 28th December 2023.
