The Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA) has forecast widespread rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning across several districts of the state between July 15 and 18, urging residents to remain vigilant and follow official weather advisories.
According to the district-wise forecast, July 15 is expected to witness localized thunderstorms and lightning with light to moderate rainfall in several districts, while Longleng and Mon are likely to receive moderate to heavy rainfall at isolated places. Residents have been advised to avoid unnecessary travel during adverse weather.
On July 16, weather conditions are expected to improve across much of the state, although light to moderate rainfall is likely over Kohima, Noklak, Peren, Tseminyu, Tuensang and Zunheboto districts. Scattered intermittent showers are also expected in Noklak and Zunheboto.

On July 17, localized thunderstorms with light to moderate rainfall are likely over Kohima, Longleng, Mokokchung, Noklak, Phek, Shamator, Tseminyu, Tuensang and Zunheboto districts. The Authority has advised residents in landslide- and waterlogging-prone areas to exercise caution.
The forecast for July 18 indicates continued thunderstorms and light to moderate rainfall over Kohima, Longleng, Mokokchung, Mon, Tseminyu, Tuensang and Zunheboto, while Kiphire, Noklak, Peren, Phek and Shamator may experience light rainfall at a few places.
