The Nagaland Transparency, Public Rights Advocacy and Direct Action Organisation (NTPRADAO) has condemned the alleged heinous sexual exploitation of minors (boys) by the former senior pastor of Father’s House Church, Robert Kikon.

“The outrageous public exposure has utterly bewildered and shocked the entire Naga community in disbelief for its unprecedented acts if it is true, and it appeals to one and all in the State to stand hand-in-hand with the exploited victims and their families. The gravity has impacted psychologically and emotionally the collective Naga public pyche,” stated the NTPRADAO today.

“The NTPRADAO also acknowledges the fact that the victim’s shall need caring and loving counseling and a lot of spiritual/emotional support. They will have PTSD for many years to come plus shame, guilt and other traumatic disorders,” it added.

The organisation expressed its appreciation to the Social Welfare Department’s Child Welfare Committee in seriously pursuing the matter to the extent of filing an FIR with the victim’s consent. It also lauded the Dimapur Police Commissioner and his team for prompt police support wherever necessary.

“Lastly, the NTPRADAO as an intellectual platform hereby appeals to the citizens of Nagaland from issuing unwarranted and controversial statements in this most sensitive case, for an unbiased police investigation to progress so that the law of the land shall take its due legal course to bring the culprit to justice, if it actually deems so. We must remember nobody is pronounced guilty unless proven by court formally,” the organisation further appealed.
