Nehru Yuva Kendra Tuensang, in collaboration with District Administration Tuensang, organised a District Level Neighbourhood Youth Parliament on Tuesday at Town Hall, Tuensang.

According to DIPR, Thungchanbemo Tungoe, ADC Tuensang, speaking at the program, highlighted the importance of Youth Parliament among young generations to get them updated with the functioning of the Parliament. He said that the elected members represent us and the electors have right to know how they function.

Tungoe also encouraged the students, who are the future of the nation, to not only criticise the leaders but also contribute to the function of the Government by choosing the right and able candidate by taking part in clean election. The ADC Tuensang also Administer Clean Election pledges.

The keynote address was delivered by Kishor Barman, DYO, NYK Tuensang while a short speech on ‘New India, New Initiative’ was given by Zerutso Keseizie, EAC, Tuensang. A demonstration on EVM was presented by Election Office Tuensang. Vote of thanks was delivered by Kumcholimong Sangtam and the program was chaired by Saotola Chang, NYV Tuensang.
