PHED initiates Swachhata Hi Seva 2024 activities

As part of the ongoing nationwide Swachhata Hi Seva (SHS) 2024 campaign, the Public Health Engineering Department (PHED), Rural Division Dimapur initiated several activities aimed at promoting cleanliness and community engagement on 27th and 28th Sept. 2024.

The department organized an SBM Drawing Competition at Government High School (GHS), Kuhuboto and a cleanliness and plantation drive at the Kuhuboto market area, designated as one of the Cleanliness Target Units (CTUs) under Rural Division Dimapur. The cleanliness drive saw active participation from local bodies, youths, and business establishments, contributing to the improvement of the Kuhuboto market area.

In addition to this, similar drives were conducted on September 28, 2024, at Darogapathar and Thilixu villages under the PHED Urban Division. Earlier in the day, the SBM Drawing Competition at GHS Kuhuboto, themed “Clean Niuland of My Dreams,” witnessed enthusiastic participation from students. The winners of the competition were: 1st Prize was bagged by Pulo of Class -10; 2nd Prize by Aniket of Class- 10 and the 3rd Prizeby Zajamo of Class- 8.

The students were also administered Swachhata Pledge by the Head Teacher of GHS, Kuhuboto- A while a short talk on “Swachhata” was given by Linoka Zhimomi, IEC Consultant Rural Division, Dimapur
