Phesama Youth Organisation to provide free parking space at Phesama Local ground for Hornbill Festival

The Phesama Youth Organisation (PYO) and the Phesama Village, having witnessed the pandemonium of traffic conjestions and grievances faced by the visitors and tourist both domestic and international with the transportation problems, has decided to offer its local ground for parking to the visitors of Hornbill Festival 2024.

“While keeping in mind the “The Hornbill festival” which is known as the “festival of festivals” at Kisama located 13 kilometres away from Kohima city under within the traditional boundary shared by Kigwema Village and Phesama Village is celebrated and acclaimed as an international festival meant to preserve and celebrate the rich cultural heritage of the Nagas deserves to be celebrated without transportation of vehicles being a hinderance,” stated the PYO.

With the permission from the Phesama Village Council, the Phesama Youth Organisation will be providing Phesama Local ground which is located 1 kilometres before reaching Kisama below the National Highway 29 as a parking space for all visitors to make their visit to Kisama more convenient starting from December 3.

The Organisation will also be arranging ferry vehicles from Phesama Local ground to Kisama main gate and vice versa.

The organisation has Informed that free parking will be provided for all vehicles coming to Phesama Local ground, however the people of Phesama Village and the Phesama Youth Organisation will not be responsible for any vehicles parked along the National Highway 29.

  1. Ferry vehicles will be available at 20 INR per head from Phesama Local ground to Kisama main gate and vice versa.
  2. Few mobile charging points.
  3. Free water and bathroom facility.
