The Department of Power has informed the public that a disconnection message that is circulating claiming to be from an electricity officer is likely to be a scam, as the Department of Power does not send disconnection messages via WhatsApp.

Regarding this the Chief Engineer (D&R), Power, Er. Moa Aier has directed the Executive Engineer (E) Kohima to file a case with the Cyber Police Unit at Kohima and all the other divisions have also been informed to educate the consumers and inform the |police if a similar case arises.
