The Project Constitutional Justice (PCJ), Tuensang, through its Dimapur & Niuland Bureau, has condemned the alleged acts of sexual assault allegedly committed by Robert Kikon, a former senior pastor and founding member of Father’s House Church in Chümoukedima, Nagaland. “These alleged acts, involving minors, constitute a grave violation of their dignity and are a flagrant breach of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, which mandates severe legal consequences for offenders, including penalties for those who fail to report such crimes under Section 21,” stated the PCJ in a press release issued today.
It has therefore called for a comprehensive and impartial investigation into the allegations against Robert Kikon. The group also demanded the immediate registration of a First Information Report (FIR) and the prosecution of the accused in accordance with the law, ensuring that justice is both served and seen to be served in the interest of the victims and the wider community.
“We demand justice for victims. It is duty of state to make sure that the rights of citizens are protected. Moreover, the possibility of more such predators lurking undetected in our society can never be denied. We urge Nagaland citizens to be vigilant and speak up,” stated the PCJ.
The organisation asserted that accused and other accomplices should be brought before the law and be prosecuted. It has called for immediate, decisive action from both the government and civil society to safeguard the victims’ identities and well-being. It further emphasized the need for robust awareness campaigns to prevent future incidents of abuse and to educate the public on the importance of reporting such crimes.

The organisation demanded the swift prosecution of Robert Kikon and all individuals complicit in these crimes, urging for stronger legal reforms to ensure harsher penalties for those who commit sexual offences against minors.
Finally, PCJ underscored the urgent need for protection, psychological support, and care for the survivors, to facilitate their recovery and uphold their dignity. “PCJ remains steadfast in its commitment to justice and stands firm against any actions that undermine the rights and welfare of the people of Nagaland,” it stated.
