Pughoboto SDPDB deliberates on ‘Comprehensive Report on School Visitation’ submitted by SAKK

Pughoboto: Visitation highlights significant challenges faced by schools including teacher shortages, inadequate infrastructure

The Pughoboto Sub-Division Planning and Development Board held its monthly meeting today under the Chairmanship of MLA & Chairman SDPDB, Pughoboto, Dr Sukhato A Sema. During the meeting, President of Sumi Aphuyemi Kiphimi Kuqhakulu (SAKK), Hutoka Assumi, submitted a Comprehensive Report on School Visitation conducted by SAKK under Pughoboto Subdivision.

This initiative by the student union aimed to evaluate the existing conditions of educational institutions, identify critical shortages in staff and resources, and document the grievances expressed by school administrators and faculty. The overarching goal of the report is to enhance the quality of education provided to students in the region by addressing these issues.

The visitation conducted by SAKK under the Pughoboto subdivision highlighted significant challenges faced by schools in the area, ranging from teacher shortages to inadequate infrastructure. It recommended addressing these issues to improve the educational experience for students and ensuring that they have access to the quality education they deserve.

The Board discussed immediate action, strategic planning, and sustained effort required to meet these challenges and also recommended for rationalisation of teachers within the subdivision.

Also at the meeting, the House recommended construction of Tourist Place at Pughoboto to foster tourism in the subdivision. ADC & Vice Chairman of SDPDB, Pughoboto, Tiameren Chang co-chaired the meeting.
