The Razeba Public Organisation (RPO) has made an appeal to any firm/contractor assigned with the road construction from Pfütsero to Chilo (Kilo) not to compromise with the quality of work.

It said that the recently sanctioned road under PMGSY is “a long-felt dream of the Razeba area community and serves as the sole lifeline for the area comprising of Zelome village, and Zhavame and Tsüpfüme, which were both declared Vegetable village.” The RPO highlighted that the road connectivity is crucial for economic activities, particularly for transportation of agricultural produce and other essential commodities.

Additionally, the organisation stated that sharing border with Manipur state, the road is also the gateway to Phek district and is crucial for inter-state business.

The RPO also appealed for cooperation from the community members and the leaders of Razeba Range. “We urge the community not to be an obstacle in any form whether it is individuals, organisations, clans or Ihose Battalion, NSCN-IM (Kapamodzü),” it stated.

Furthermore, the RPO affirmed to protect the ongoing construction of the road “at any cost” and said, “strong action will be taken against anyone hampering the development of the road construction in any form.”
