The Rengma Selo Zi has expressed its strongest condemnation over the assault of a student on February 20 in Kohima. The victim is a student of class 10 section-A from Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Kohima.
“It is reported that student was verbally abused, grievously targeted and assaulted by two classmates in uniform. The victim is currently under intensive care unit (ICU), courageously battling for his life in Guwahati,” mentioned the RSZ.

Denouncing the heinous act, it further stated, “The barbaric and brutal action meted towards a victim is not solely a remote act of aggression but an indictment of orderly defect to safeguard and uphold disciplinary accountability. The RSZ, while standing in solidarity with the victim and his family members, demand the law enforcement agency to initiate necessary course of action and ensure that justice is delivered,”
The RSZ also sought the cooperation and sincerity of the concern educational institution for swift conduct of investigation while respecting the identity and safety of the students.
Furthermore, it reaffirmed its commitment that the organization will leave no stone unturned if justice fails to prevail as per the law.
