Republic Day 2025: Governor La Ganesa calls for renewed vigor and dedication in nation-building process

In his message on the occasion of the 76th Republic Day, Governor of Nagaland, La Ganesan has urged citizens of the State to partake in the nation-building process with renewed vigor and dedication and to continue to contribute to the nation’s prosperity.

The Governor extended heartfelt greetings on the occasion and remarked, “the day marks not only a tribute to the Constitution of India but also a celebration of our shared journey as a nation. It is a moment to reflect on our achievements and renew our commitment to the ideals that form the bedrock of our Republic.”

He noted the remarkable progress made by the country in emerging as a robust economic power and a beacon of democratic values on the global stage and stated that every citizen’s contribution, however small, forms the foundation of our vibrant democracy.

The Governor highlighted the surge in the start-up ecosystem under Prime Minister Narendra Modi and commended registration of start-ups in Nagaland that has increased by over 200% from the previous year. “This success reflects the inventive spirit and determination of our youth, who are driving economic growth and innovation,” he said.

He stated that it is the duty of every citizen to harness our resources, foster entrepreneurship, and work hand in hand with the rest of the country to make the vision of a developed India a reality.

Patriotism and nationalism are the heartbeats of our nation, uniting us in our diversity, the Governor added, urging the youth to draw strength and inspiration from the bravery and dedication of Nagas serving in the defence forces. He particularly mentioned the Naga Regiment whose acts of valor and “unmatched patriotism and nationalism are not just narratives of the past but living inspirations for our present and future generations.”

We must continue to work together as responsible citizens, nurturing the values of unity, peace and progress, the Governor stated while also calling all to pledge to work towards a future filled with hope and opportunities for all. Let us resolve to uphold the principles of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity which our Constitution envisions, the Governor also stated in his Republic Day 2025 message.
