Rotary Club Mokokchung donates wheelchairs and stretcher to needy patients

Mokokchung: CMO acknowledges Club’s consistent contributions to public health and community welfare

The Rotary Club of Mokokchung continues its efforts to support the community through public health services. In a heartwarming gesture, the club’s President, Rongsentoshi Jamir, handed over two much-needed wheelchairs and a stretcher to the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Mokokchung on 22 October 2024.

The handover ceremony was held at the office of the CMO, where Rotary Club members and hospital staff were present. The initiative is part of the club’s ongoing commitment to improving healthcare facilities for underprivileged individuals in Mokokchung.

Speaking at the event, President Rongsentoshi Jamir emphasized the club’s dedication to serving the community, particularly in the health sector. “We hope this small contribution can make a significant impact on the lives of those who need it most. Our club remains committed to addressing the gaps in public healthcare services and ensuring that no one is left behind due to a lack of resources.”

The Chief Medical Officer, receiving the donation, expressed gratitude on behalf of the district’s healthcare authorities. He acknowledged Rotary Club’s consistent contributions to public health and community welfare, which have been instrumental in uplifting many lives.
