The Rotary Club of Mokokchung, in collaboration with the Mokokchung Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) and the Department of Food and Civil Supplies, visited the District Jail on the occasion of the 78th Independence Day. The initiative, led by Rotary President Rongsentoshi Jamir, witnessed the distribution of food and essential items to all the inmates.

The event was aimed at not only providing for the physical needs of the inmates but also to inspire them towards a positive change. Addressing the inmates, Alen Imchen Supply Inspector emphasized the importance of learning from past mistakes and encouraged them to strive for a better future. He reminded them that society still has good people who believe in second chances and that everyone has the potential to contribute positively to the world.

The gesture was well-received, and the inmates expressed their gratitude for the support and kindness shown by the visiting team.
