The third and fourth quarter-final matches of the 6th Inter Ward Football Tournament Mokokchung witnessed intense battles as Sangtemla and Sungkomen emerged victorious to book their places in the semi-finals.

In the third quarter-final, Sangtemla faced Artang in a highly competitive match that saw both teams unable to break the deadlock in regulation time. The match ended in a goalless draw, forcing the game into a penalty shootout. Sangtemla proved superior from the spot, securing a 5-3 victory and advancing to the next stage of the tournament.

The fourth quarter-final featured a tough contest between Sungkomen and Kumlong. The match saw Sungkomen edge past their opponents with a 2-1 victory in regulation time. Despite a determined effort from Kumlong, Sungkomen maintained their lead to ensure a semi-final berth.

With these results, Sangtemla and Sungkomen join the ranks of the tournament’s top contenders along with Mongsenbai and Dilong in the semi-finals to fight for the Championship.
