The second phase of the Census 2027 training programme for Supervisors and Enumerators under Meluri District concluded on June 24 at DB’s Court, Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Meluri.
The three-day training programme, which commenced on 22nd June, was attended by 48 Supervisors and Enumerators from Meluri Town, Phokhungri Block.
Deputy Commissioner, Meluri, Phuleshe K. Yepthomi, addressed the participants during the concluding session and emphasized the importance of carrying out enumeration strictly in accordance with the questionnaire and performing the assigned duties with sincerity and dedication. Motivating the trainees, he urged them to uphold accuracy and integrity in data collection, reminding them that a reliable census forms the foundation for effective planning and development.

He stressed that self-enumeration records should be updated accurately to ensure correct population data. The Deputy Commissioner stressed that data collection must be carried out carefully and maintained with clear and accurate records. He particularly highlighted that enumeration in urban and town areas would be one of the most challenging tasks and urged the trainees to exercise utmost diligence while carrying out their responsibilities.
Yepthomi also stated that attentive listening during the training sessions is as important as practical work, and advised the trainees to understand every aspect thoroughly so as to avoid any confusion or doubts during the actual enumeration process.
Deputy Commissioner wished them success and hoped that they would discharge their assigned responsibilities efficiently and contribute towards the successful conduct of Census 2027.
