The Brig. (Retd) S. Singnya led NNC/FGN (Naga National Council/ Federal Government of Nagaland) has advised ousted vice-president (Kedallo), Zhopra Vero, to acknowledge the “fact” behind his impeachment and “immediately cease from any such activities that maligns the image of not only NNC/FGN but also the august NNPGs platform.”

In a rejoinder to Vero’s press statement, the Ministry of Rali Wali Affairs (Information and Publicity) maintained that Vero was impeached from the post of kedallo on 22nd October 2024 and also removed from the co-convener ship representing to W/C, NNPGs on behalf of NNC/FGN as per the relevant provisions in the Yehzabo (Constitution) for his intention to usurp the Presidential office and also “self-styled and dictatorial actions and policies”.

Zhopra Vero has earlier, in a press statement, claimed that he was unaware of his removal as co-convenor of W/C, NNPGs.

The Brig. (Retd) S. Singnya led NNC/FGN has also stated that, P. Puthai Lam, the Kilo Kilonser (Home Minister) was “duly nominated in the Emergency National Tatar Hoho on 22nd October 2024 by the NNC/FGN as the Co-convener to the W/C, NNPGs replacing Zhopra Vero.”

The group also said, “befitting action shall be initiated against the renegades toeing the directives of Zhopra Vero by engaging in any form of fundraise, donation, tax collections etc; using NNC/FGN banner/nomenclature.”
