Spring Expo 2024 begins in Kohima, showcasing Women Entrepreneurs

The Spring Expo 2024 organised by the YouthNet, in partnership with the Department of Industries and Commerce, Government of Nagaland, began today. Held at the Old NST parking in Kohima, the Expo will continue till April 13.

The event aims to provide a platform for women entrepreneurs to exhibit their products and services. The Expo was formally inaugurated by Lemnon Wangsha, Joint Director of Industries and Commerce. Interacting with the women entrepreneurs, Wangsha expressed appreciation to the talented women entrepreneurs participating in the event and emphasized the need for consistency and attention to detail in their respective industries.

Razouvikhol Luho, Nodal Officer and Senior Manager of YouthNet, offered the opening remarks, acknowledging the support provided by the Department of Industries and Commerce, Kohima Municipal Council, Kohima Village Youth Organization, and Tsütuonuomia Khel Council. Their combined efforts have made the Expo possible, creating a unique networking and business opportunity for local women entrepreneurs, stated Luho.

The two-day Expo will feature a diverse selection of products and services from women entrepreneurs in sectors such as food and beverages, fashion and accessories, beauty and wellness, and arts and crafts. Attendees can also participate in live workshops, engaging with entrepreneurs and learning about their creative processes.

YouthNet’s Women Entrepreneurship Fellowship (YWEF), launched in 2020, has successfully completed three cohorts, providing support to 60 emerging women entrepreneurs. The program focuses on fostering growth and development in women-led businesses, offering personalized mentorship and resources to help address individual challenges.


The Spring Expo 2024 is supported by the Department of Industries and Commerce, Government of Nagaland, and Startup Nagaland. It aims to strengthen the region’s entrepreneurial ecosystem and highlight the accomplishments of talented women in business.
