The Konyak Students Union issued directives for the 7th October Mass Walkathon

The Konyak Students’ Union on Monday, in compliance with the directives issued by the office of the Eastern Naga Students’ Federation with regard to the first phase of agitation ‘Mass Public Walkathon’ on 7 October 2022, has issued directives for strict compliance.

The Union has directed that all Konyaks and Eastern Naga citizens residing within Mon district must participate in the Mass Public Walkathon in the respective administrative headquarters.

Both government and private educational institutions are to remain closed on 7 October.  Closure of business establishments and restriction of vehicular movement from 9am to 2pm will also be observed.

District Administration, medical, para military, fire and emergency services will be exempted. It has also notified that the second phase of agitation will be issued in due time after the official release from the ENSF.

The student body has urged the agitation to be implemented in all the Administrative Headquarters within Mon jurisdiction, stating that defaulters will be extended no leniency.
