Tuensang celebrates 78th Independence Day

The 78th Indian Independence day was celebrated at the Parade ground Tuensang with H Sethrongkyu Sangtam, Advisor IT & communication,  Economics & Statistics as the Chief Guest.  The MLA ceremonially hoisted the Indian National Flag and received the Rashtriya salute at Tuensang HQ.

During the event, the exhibition stalls of various government departments and groups were inaugurated. The parade commander for the event was Thingbem Thomsong, SDPO Tuensang, Imti chang, ABI Tuensang as the Parade 2nd commander. The parade contingents consisted of DEF Tuensang, 3rd NAP Tuensang, VG Tuensang village, Ex servicemen, VG Konya village,NCC High school,NCC GHSS hakushang, NCC Akum Imlong school, Saramatian Bharat Scouts and guides, NCC Chaba school, 3rd NAP band and Hauyang band.

This was followed by presentation of district commendation awards, and cultural presentation from changun cultural troupe, Sangli dancing troupe, Khiamniungan cultural troupe, Kemifu Yimkhiung cultural troupe, Tikhir Liujongpalo dancing troupe, and special song by GHSS Tuensang. A Dog show from Assam rifles Tuensang was also held.

The Advisor then visited the relief camp at Tuensang village sheltering affected families of from Phinjang colony and NST ward Tuensang.
